"Ok, Dooly," said Heck, at the controls of the Commonwealth Marshals Service cruiser. "Give me an approach vector for Moon Police Service HQ."
"WIll do---" began Dooly, but he stopped short and cursed. "Dammit!"
"What's up, Dool?" asked Heck, wary. Something was wrong. After the day they just had, Heck was prepared for the worst.
"Can't land at MPS!" Dooly said.
"Why the hell not?" Heck growled, prepared to take evasive action.
"Moon's full!" Dooly returned, chortling uproariously,
Heck blew out an exasperated sigh, brought the cruiser back on course, and plotted his revenge.

The Centaurus Legacy The Orion Trilogy Prequel eBook Tom Bielawski

“The Centaurus Legacy” is the type of book that has the ability to hook you in within the first chapter, as well as the prologue, and not let go until the very last pages. This is the kind of read for those out there who love a fast-paced, hard-hitting almost thriller-like vibe that will have you guessing what is going to happen next, yet always somehow playing out differently through a wide variety of twists and turns.

I think that Marshal Thomas is the perfect lead character for this book as he simply suits the plot excellently. He’s a bit rough around the edges and headstrong in certain scenes which gives him very human and personal feelings and qualities. I’ve gotten tired of coming across protagonists that just sail through obstacles and hardships with an almost superman-like stride, so I personally found it refreshing to come across a lead character that in many parts of the book had me genuinely wondering how he was going to get through the more rugged and vicious scenes. I recommend this book to any readers who are looking for a sci-fi book that has a unique twist reminiscent of what would typically be found in old westerns. Overall, a more than worthwhile book.

The Centaurus Legacy The Orion Trilogy Prequel eBook Tom Bielawski Reviews

I re3ceived this book free from eBook discovery in exchange for an honest review. It was a fast-paced space opera, probably more suitable for YA. The plot was like a video game.
Loved the plot and the scenery but what kept me hooked was the story build up. Would recommend this book to all the fans of this genre.
It's ok. An enjoyable read. It is, and it says so, an introduction to the Heck Thomas universe.

Although I did not find it personally pleasing, there is sure to be an audience for this kind of "cowboy/future/lawman" story. It draws, a lot, on"history" which, again, May be attractive to some readers.

To pass the time, is OK. Not my cup of tea.
The Centaurus Legacy by Tom Bielawski is the prequel to the Heck Thomas Adventures. Heck Thomas finds himself hunted by a number of adversaries, whom either want him dead or forcibly needs his help.

There are several characters that didn't seem fleshed out enough, but the story was good and held my attention.
Enjoyed it. There are some grammar/typos but not enough to detract from the story. Fun sci-fi novel, with Marshall Heck Thomas going from one difficulty to another. He encounters space pirates, renegades, and corrupt officials and deals with each in an interesting way. It will be fun to see where he goes from here! I'd recommend it to those who enjoy sci-fi with a twist of the Old West!
Welcome to the 22nd century in this futuristic novel that reads like a bit of a western. In 2190, Earth has run out of energy and looks to the galaxy to solve their problems. Of course when energy is found there, the rush is on and the new criminals, more like old style gangsters. want to take over and keep the profits. To combat them, we have the new type of cops, who are really more of a throw back of the old west. With Marshal's and deputies patrolling the galaxy. That is where the adventure begins and readers are going to find this story fascinating.
From the very start The Centaurus Legacy caught my attention, sucking me into the well written science novel that added elements of the Old West to create a uniquely entertaining story. Tom Bielawski brings a talent for imaginative storytelling t the forefront as he weaves a tale about a lawman who finds himself on the wrong side of the law; facing countless enemies and an uphill battle as a mafioso frames him for some truly heinous crimes, Marshal Heck Thomas must right the wrongs done to him when his life and many others hangs in the balance. The author skillfully winds the reader up with suspenseful action, emotionally charged drama, twisty mysteries and a clear aim to entertain the reader. From start to finish this was fun, exciting, imaginative and well worth the read.
